Helmut Marko on adjustments to Verstappen and Lawson's RB21

Marko reveals modifications to Verstappen and Lawson's RB21

Helmut Marko has revealed that Red Bull has made some more adjustments for qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix. Earlier on Saturday, Max Verstappen finished P3 in the sprint race, which Lewis Hamilton won. The parc fermé is open prior to qualifying at the Shanghai International Circuit, and so Red Bull has taken advantage of that.

Marko talks about RB21 modifications

Red Bull will make adjustments to the RB21 for Sunday's race, Marko told Motorsport.com. "Yes, with the set-up. Of course we are going to try that, although we don't want to lose any speed for qualifying. After all, you saw today that qualifying position is very important here. If you are third, fourth or fifth, you can already end up in a DRS train.

"That is a problem, as the tyres then overheat even faster. It is interesting, but we have closed the gap in the championship to two points and that is better than what we expected beforehand."

Marko said after the sprint race that P3 was the maximum achievable for Verstappen. He was asked if a podium finish would feel like a win for Red Bull. "Yes, and that will be hard enough."
