Lando Norris has had another suboptimal qualifying session for the Chinese Grand Prix. The Briton will start on the second row in P3 after being beaten by his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who took pole position.

Regarding his performance during the qualifying session, Norris told Sky Sports, "Always disappointed if I'm not on pole but Oscar deserves it today. He's done a very good job all weekend. Happy for him and his first pole in F1."

Norris makes mistake again in China

He said, "Just a couple of mistakes again. It has kind of been my case this weekend, but the car has been feeling better today." Norris ended the sprint race earlier this morning down in 8th place after a lock-up caused him to lose three positions. Only one of which he was able to regain.

"A much better direction we are going in, especially yesterday when I struggled a lot and even this morning, so not too disappointed."

He admits, "We changed quite a lot on the car [after the Sprint] because we were nowhere, so let's see [for tomorrow]."

Will Norris be able to hold onto his championship lead? Or will he lose it after just seven days? Let us know in the comments below!
