Brown admits "Norris is a little grumpy' after dissapointing qualifying session

- Savannah Lenz
McLaren has been hailed as the team to beat with the fastest car on the grid. However, which driver to look out for has yet to be decided. Last week, it was Lando Norris on the pole; this week, it's Oscar Piastri. McLaren CEO Zak Brown weighs in on how the Chinese Grand Prix weekend is shaping up for them and what this means for their championship fight.
Regarding Oscar Piastri's first-ever pole, Brown said, "It's awesome to have Oscar get his first pole. He's been close, a lot of front rows, and that was a mega lap. Only he and George improved, I think the wind direction changed. It was an awesome last sector," he began to Sky Sports.
Brown on McLaren weekend so far
Piastri has had three amazing sessions back to back this weekend. First, he qualified third during the sprint qualifying, then he finished second in the Sprint race and now he has qualified first for the feature race. But for teammate Lando Norris, things have not been so easy.
Brown admits, "This has been a tricky weekend for us so far. We know we have the pace; we know we have the pace in the drivers and the car. The Sprint race was great for Oscar, less so for Lando."
He says, "I'm sure Lando's a little bit grumpy he's not on that front row with him, but he can see him."
Brown added, "I know it's a short year so far but we've been saying this is going to be a really close season. If you miss a sector or lock a wheel you're going to be P6 or P7."
