f1 Pirelli predicts the Chinese Grand Prix strategy

Oscar Piastri starts the Chinese Grand Prix from first place after taking pole. However, a six-way battle for the win is well and truly on the cards in what could be a very competitive race. But hat strategy will drivers and teams use to try and taker them to P1? Find out down below.

Pirelli expects there will be no one-stoppers, with the tyre supplier assuming a two-stopper. There are several options for this. For instance, drivers can go for a medium-hard-hard strategy. The medium-hard-medium strategy is also an option. That will possibly be a bit heavier on the tyres, though.

There is also an option to start on the soft tyre. Then the medium tyre will not come into play during the race. However, drivers will then have to do two stints on the hard tyre after the stint on the red-rimmed tyre.

For the top six drivers, they all have the same tyre allocation for the Grand Prix. Everyone has two new sets of hard tyres, one new and one used set of medium tyres, and three used sets of soft tyres.
