Norris warns the rest of the grid that McLaren will "keep working"
Lando Norris has warned the rest of the Formula 1 grid that McLaren "will keep working to keep them behind us" after a hugely positive start to the 2025 season.
Norris, along with Piastri, have shown that McLaren are the team to beat so far in F1, with impressive wins at the Australian Grand Prix for the Brit, and the Chinese Grand Prix for the Australian, continuing from the 2024 season that saw take the constrcutors' championship, their first title since 1998.
After winter testing in Bahrain showed that McLaren were going to be the team to beat on the grid, they backed that up with the first two races of the year. However, there is continued work being done at their Woking factory in the UK as they look to continue with their fine form.
Back at home base
"We are back at the factory after an incredible start to this year," Norris said, speaking on McLaren's social media while taking a tour of their factory.
"Back-to-back podiums, a race win in Melbourne, P2 in China, with a win for Oscar [Piastri]. It's been an incredible start to the year. First of all, I would like to thank everyone here at MTC [McLaren Technology Centre]. They have done a great job because the car is perfect, and it's flying at the minute."
The 2025 season circus started with a doubleheader, and after a weekend's rest, they will be thrown into a tripleheader, starting with the Japanese Grand Prix, with Norris and McLaren working hard to continue their fine form.
"It has been a lot of travelling, a lot of flyaways, a lot of time away. We have a little break now to make sure we are prepared. A lot of hungry people, hungry competitors behind us wanting to take our place, so we will keep working to keep them behind us. We are off to Japan on the weekend, and we are ready to do it all over again," concluded the Brit.
