Red Bull boss Christian Horner has said that his team never set goals of how many victories they want to achieve in a season after a fairly slow start to the season.

Max Verstappen has been his usual self, picking up three solid finishes to put himself third in the standings, but Pierre Gasly has found it a bit more difficult, with only 13 points to his name.

This means Red Bull are already 78 points behind Constructors’ Championship leaders Mercedes, who have made a perfect start to the season, securing three consecutive one-two finishes.

In an interview on Motorsport.com, Horner said: “From the team's point of view we never set goals in terms of number of victories. Our goal is only to reduce the gap from the teams that precede us.

“My point of view has always been to see which car is the fastest and which is the fastest way to reach it. This system varies from race to race.”
