Charles Leclerc prepared to "do anything" to stop team orders
Charles Leclerc's position at Ferrari has been made perfectly clear. He is currently the number two driver at the team but he is set to do anything to drop the team orders he has currently been faced with. The young driver feels that he is good enough to have the top seat at Ferrari and at least have an equal opportunity to Sebastian Vettel.
"I have to show what I can do on the racetrack, and then hopefully the situation will change someday", said Leclerc to GPToday.net. "Like every driver here, I want to be the fastest. So far, I have understood every decision, even though it is sometimes difficult for a driver to accept it."
Leclerc has impressed since joining Ferrari with many predicting him to go on to win multiple world championships in the future. However, at the moment he is still very much a youngster at the Italian team.
"I have a four-time world champion next to me driving for Ferrari in his fifth year. I understand that there is a hierarchy at the moment, but I will do anything to change that," Leclerc added. "The boys on the pit wall have a better overview of the race. So, to some extent, I will do what is required of me."
Leclerc's attitude will do him huge favours and having won over the fans he will hope to get a shot at a race win in the near future.
