Valtteri Bottas started on pole, but by the exit of turn one, Lewis Hamilton was ahead. From there, Hamilton blasted into the distance, but Bottas kept pushing to complete Mercedes fifth consecutive one-two.

Expectantly, Bottas wasn't as happy as he was when he climbed out of the car yesterday. He knows he and Mercedes must work out his starts if he's to fight Lewis Hamilton for the 2019 Formula 1 world championship.

"It was pretty tight [at the first corner]. But I lost it at the start, there's some strange behaviours on the clutch, I lost it there. As a team, [the result] is incredible. a very single point is going to count this year, but I'm just keen to find out why the start was so bad and why the issue happened," Bottas said in a conversation with David Coulthard.
