Toto Wolff indicated that Lewis Hamilton had talks with Ferrari last season over a potential move to the Italian team. However, Hamilton contradicted this statement and claimed it's not true.

“I can't remember what Toto is referring to. I think that when you are in the middle of negotiations you always have to drop the name of Ferrari. Then you will always be better," Hamilton jokes during the press conference.

“Toto is an intelligent man, so we have good negotiations and good conversations and of course I've been with Mercedes since I was 13, so it's hard to see myself anywhere else. I have never made it a secret that I am a Ferrari fan and especially the Ferrari cars."

Despite saying that, Hamilton didn't rule out a future move to the Ferrari team. “I have not yet made any plans for my future. At the moment I enjoy driving this team," Hamilton added.

"We are experiencing tremendous growth and it is amazing what we have achieved together, what we have achieved over the past six or seven years. I plan to make this the team's most successful team ever. That is my current goal and my only focus."
