Sainz on his Monaco overtakes: "No image can describe the feeling"
Carlos Sainz was 'best of the rest' in the streets of Monte Carlo by getting his McLaren into P6. His hard work all started on the opening lap when he managed to produce two top quality overtakes.
YES! P6 in Monaco! No image can describe the feeling at T3! But hope you enjoy this view! @McLarenF1 @EG00 #carlo55ainz #monacogp pic.twitter.com/koGFVSJRlT

Overtaking has always been a problem around Monaco, but Sainz proved it's possible. Lando Norris didn't make it into the top 10, but Sainz's eight points were enough for McLaren to gain a further advantage over midfield teams.
"It's my third consecutive points finish with the team and the season looks to just be getting better and better. I cannot wait to be racing in Canada," Sainz said on Sky Sports.
It wasn't an easy weekend for Zak Brown who was supposed to be in America with the Indy500 team. Those plans were scrapped, but at least he got to witness his Spanish driver produce one of the best starts to a race in Monaco.
He enjoyed it so much, he too retweeted the video on Twitter and said: "big first lap move by Carlos Sainz into Casino Square today."
McLaren is in 4th and now have a 13 point gap between themselves and Racing Point.
