Carlos Sainz hopes to build on McLaren's "momentum" at Silverstone
Carlos Sainz is hoping to maintain his points scoring streak at the British Grand Prix next weekend. McLaren have had an impressive run of results and they will be hoping to get another set of solid results at their home race next weekend. Sainz is looking forward to the race and wants to keep building on the momentum the team has created.
"Next week, we head to Silverstone," Sainz said in his Official F1 column. "A track I have very good memories from in the past. One of my absolute favorites. The team is doing great and it’s a home race for them and Lando, so I’ll make sure I don’t keep him busy on the simulator in the Brand Centre as he will have plenty of media stuff to do!
"From my side, it’s about keeping the momentum up. It’s more important than ever to keep working hard, keep pushing at the track and keep pushing at the factory."
McLaren will hope that they can continue to hold the position of "best of the rest" and that they can get another double points finish at Silverstone.
