PREVIEW: British Grand Prix - Start time, odds and predictions
- Bobby Vincent
It's round 10 of the Formula 1 calendar this weekend, and we turn our attention to the historic track of Silverstone! Last time out, Max Verstappen ended Mercedes' winning streak, can the Silver Arrows respond in Great Britain?!
Flashback
With Lewis Hamilton on pole at his home race, the Brit looked set to go and record a SIXTH British Grand Prix victory. However, an early spin for Hamilton after a collision with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, allowed Vettel to storm to the front of the grid.
Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas was in the lead following a Safety Car, but Vettel - who had the quicker car - managed to finally overtake the Finnish driver late on and claim his 51st career victory.
Hamilton was left questionning the tactics of his team's rivals Ferrari, after Raikkonen effectively ended his chance at a victory on the opening lap.
That trophy though...

Predictions
Hamilton has been so good at Silverstone in recent years - winning FOUR of the last five races at the track. Mercedes had a nightmare in Austria, with its cooling system suffering with the soaring hot temperatures.
Boss Toto Wolff has already said he's hoping for the typical British weather that is always unpredictable, whilst the Silver Arrows' mechanics continue to work on fixing its overheating problems.
Red Bull and Honda won their first race together last time out and the way Max Verstappen is driving at the moment - you can never rule him out! Ferrari need a big weekend and they could have another great race at Silverstone.
Mercedes is too good of a team not to respond, though. My prediction would be for another Hamilton victory in front of his home crowd and Charles Leclerc behind him, giving him an excellent race.
