Confirmed: Alterations made to Silverstone circuit to control track limits
Formula 1 makes a return to its spiritual home this weekend for the British Grand Prix. On Wednesday, it was confirmed Silverstone would continue to host the event through until at least 2024. That hasn't changed, but they've altered the track to control track limits.
At Luffield, the gravel trap has been moved closer to the track itself. This means any sort of "four wheels off the track" will be significantly punished across the whole weekend.
The stewards have been under pressure after being forced into making key decisions over the last few Grand Prix weekends.
