Live | Formula 1 2019 German Grand Prix - Who will be victorious in Germany?
It's race day! The German Grand Prix is set to be a fascinating race with Sebastian Vettel starting from the back of the grid, Charles Leclerc in tenth and Hamilton on pole!
What happened on Saturday?
Ferrari appeared to be well set for qualifying on Saturday after dominating the practice sessions but when things aren't going your way it can be really bad. Sebastian Vettel's torrid time continued as the German failed to set a time for the race at the Hockenheimring during qualifying after an intercooler problem. It was a bit better for Charles Leclerc but he suffered a similar fate failing to set a time in Q3 because of his own technical problems.
Mercedes meanwhile took full advantage of Ferrari's slip up as Lewis Hamilton secured pole and Valtteri Bottas will start third. Hamilton was a doubt for the race after suffering with an illness all weekend and Esteban Ocon was prepared to step in. However, the Brit showed us what he's done time and time again to top the timesheets yet again.
Kimi Raikkonen will start fifth and there was some relief for Romain Grosjean as he will start sixth on the grid.
