Stewards take decision on potential Hamilton penalty incident!
- Nicolás Quarles van Ufford
The stewards at the German Grand Prix have decided not to give Lewis Hamilton an additional penalty, as the Brit was under investigation for driving unnecessarily slow behind the Safety Car.
Hamilton was of course already hit with a five-second penalty for his illegal pitlane entry, after the reigning champion went lost his front wing at T16 and immediately steered into the pits, crossing the bollard on the wrong side.
It already was a race to forget for Hamilton, who started on pole position but dropped down the order after his crash. Under the next Safety Car, the man from Stevenage then drove unnecessarily slow, putting him under investigation for another penalty.
However, the stewards have opted not to take any further action.
