Mercedes confirm new-spec engines for Belgium Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will be handed fresh, new-spec engines for the Belgium Grand Prix this weekend. The Mercedes works team and customers will receive the upgrade this weekend as there are no "surprises between now and practice".
On Thursday morning, Mercedes confirmed Bottas will continue to drive for the Silver Arrows during the 2020 Formula 1 season. He will partner up with Lewis Hamilton for the fourth season. This was in doubt with Esteban Ocon breathing down his neck.
This new-spec will be Mercedes 3rd different power unit during the 2019 Formula 1 season. The W10 was fitted with new aero upgrades in the final races before the summer break.
