Alfa Romeo in "search for the lost points" at Monza
- Tom Mason
Alfa Romeo is looking to get back in the points this weekend at the Italian Grand Prix after both cars struggled at Spa last time out. Kimi Raikkonen ended up in 16th while teammate Antonio Giovinazzi ended up in 18th, last of all the finishers.
There's very little to split to teams towards the back of the grid with Alfa Romeo just eight points behind 7th placed Racing Point.
"The race last week ended for me at the first corner, so I hope to have one the best in Monza, "Raikkonen said.
"We have shown that in qualifying our car can be competitive, but this does not help much if you don't score on Sunday.
"We need to do a good job from the beginning to the end of the weekend. Only then will we be able to look at the result we will have brought home ".
The Fin is a highly experienced driver and has been in the sport for several years now and so it's just a matter of time until he's back at his best.
