Ross Brawn says Ferrari need Vettel to "regain his confidence" ahead of 2020!
Former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn believes that if Ferrari are going to aim for both the drivers' and constructors' titles next year, they need Sebastian Vettel to rediscover his form and start winning again.
Vettel hasn't won a Grand Prix in over a year, since the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix, and had a disastrous race last time out in front of Ferrari's home crowd at Monza.
He spun all on his own and dangerously re-entered the track in front of Lance Stroll, leading to him receiving a 10-second stop-go penalty.
Brawn, who is now F1's sporting chief told Autosport: "Vettel is clearly one of the greats of our sport, but at this tough time he really needs the support of the team to regain the confidence he seems to be lacking at the moment.
"That, as well as pushing on with the car development, has to be a priority for Mattia Binotto in the coming weeks.
"It won't be easy, but it is essential especially in terms of 2020."
