Charles Leclerc: "There are no reasons for us not to be competitive this weekend"
Charles Leclerc believes that Ferrari are on the pace this weekend and that there is "no reason" for them to not to be victorious on Sunday. Mercedes were fastest in today's practise sessions but many believe that Ferrari didn't have their engines turned up to full.
Leclerc is happy with how things have gone since the summer break and hopes that Ferrari can continue their momentum.
"It’s working pretty well since we came back from holidays," Leclerc said at the pre-race press conference. "The car feels great. We’ve had, I think, four poles in a row, which is always nice.
"The last two races have been a bit… not what I expected, but the performance is there, which is the most important, and there are no reasons for us not to be competitive this weekend.
"So, yeah, we’ll see how it goes. I think we need to focus. Saturday seems to be very tricky, if not impossible to drive, so Friday is very important. And I hope we can have a very positive Sunday."
Qualifying has been moved to Sunday due to the weather on Saturday and Lecelrc will hope to deal with the heavy workload on Sunday the best and come away with the race victory.
