Hamilton and Rossi to swap machinery at season close?
Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi are getting closer to the car/bike swap that has been talked about for years, with Abu Dhabi the favoured location. Both men are big fans of the others sport and have previously stated how much they want to have a go in the other man's ride.
Rossi would be in Hamilton's Mercedes whilst the Brit would jump on the Yamaha bike that has currently propelled him to seventh in the standings with three rounds to go.
The Italian has tested in a Toro Rosso before, and was linked to an F1 switch back in 2006, but obviously nothing ever materialised.
Following the Japanese Moto GP race, Rossi said: "Yes, we are trying to arrange this swap with Hamilton, it would be something fantastic.
"They are trying to organise a day when Lewis tries my M1 and I try his Mercedes. We hope to make it happen, it would be very cool. To drive an F1 car is always great."
Abu Dhabi may be where the event takes place, as F1 stay for post season testing and the Moto GP season is already over, so watch this space...
