"There is not a single driver who has won a title without having a great team"
Lewis Hamilton has dedicated his success to Mercedes. He has won his sixth drivers championship this season but has said that it takes more than just being a good driver to reach that level of performance.
"There is not a single driver who has won a title without having a great team around him, just like that no world-class tennis player has won a title without being surrounded by a fantastic team," Hamilton said to the Autosport magazine.
"It's part of the game and it's how you use the tools and the people around you.
"I feel very, very privileged and I am very happy with my own contribution to that. I have been able to help the team this year to steer them in the right direction in terms of development, with what the car needs to get around faster."
Hamilton and Mercedes will be hoping that their success continues for years to come and that they can match and beat Michael Schumacher's all-time record.
