Toto Wolff hopes Mercedes make up for Brazil in Abu Dhabi
Mercedes are looking to continue their dominance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Toto Wolff is looking forward to ending the season on a high. Wolff is disappointed with how things went in Brazil and is back at the helm for the final race of the season this weekend.
"A disappointing GP for us, since we didn't have the fastest car on the track and we left many points behind due to homemade mistakes," Wolff said about the Brazilian Grand Prix. “We analyzed what went wrong: both with regard to reliability and the choices made in the race itself. That to make sure that we don't fall into the same trap. A wise lesson for the entire team that will only make us stronger.”
Wolff expects that the poor performance in Brazil will provide Mercedes with motivation to improve and end the season well in Abu Dhabi.
“The poor performance in Brazil makes us travel to Abu Dhabi with the intention of making a point. It is a circuit that suited us well in the past and we will work hard to keep it that way.
"This race is our last side to write another victory in the name of the W10 and an opportunity to give fans a spectacle before the winter break. We are looking forward to the fight because we know that in Formula 1 you are only as good as the last race!”
Mercedes have dominated this season and will hope that they can put in a performance over the weekend that reflects that.
