Bottas gets second but will start Abu Dhabi GP from the back: "I'll give it all"
Valtteri Bottas will be starting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from the back of the grid despite qualifying in second place. The Finnish driver picked up an engine penalty earlier in the week, but Bottas indicated he'll be giving it his all on Sunday.
Lewis Hamilton, Bottas' teammate clinched pole position for the first time since the German Grand Prix. Bottas alluded to how his team have improved over recent weeks and his plan to perform in the race.
"As a team, it has been a really strong day, we've had good pace, it didn't feel as good today as yesterday but I think Lewis made some good improvements," Bottas said after the session.
"In any case, I'm going to start last and we will find the fighting spirit tomorrow. I believe, anything is possible, we have a very good car. Sunday is normally stronger for us and we'll give it all we have."
