Rosberg: 'Of the youngsters, Verstappen has been chance of winning F1 world title'
Nico Rosberg believes Max Verstappen has the best chance of winning a Formula 1 championship out of the current youngsters competing in Formula 1. Verstappen recorded his highest world championship finish ever after ending the season with a P2 in Abu Dhabi.
Verstappen will be racing alongside the likes of Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Alex Albon and George Russell for at least the best part of 10 years. But the 2016 F1 champion insists Verstappen is the most likely of these to become world champion first.
"That's an easy one. I would go for Verstappen because he's just an epic driver," Rosberg said in his latest vlog.
"Yes, I certainly think [Aston Martin Red Bull Racing can win a championship in 2020]. They're doing an awesome engine at the moment, they have a good car and even here which is an absolute Mercedes track Verstappen wasn't too far away from Hamilton in terms of lap difference on pace. Red Bull Racing has a chance next year," Rosberg added.
