Marko admits Red Bull "will not have any excuses" in 2020
- Tom Mason
On the whole, it was a positive year for Aston Martin Red Bull Racing as Max Verstappen finished in third and Alex Albon who was promoted up from Toro Rosso midway through the season ended up in eighth.
That resulted in the team coming in third in the constructors' championship, only below Mercedes and Ferrari in the standings.
“We have taken a lesson and next year we will not have any excuses," Helmut Marko said when asked about the season.
"Our Honda power is top, Max is also top so now we have to deliver a good chassis. At the moment we are two weeks ahead of our schedule. It goes better than ever before.”
The goal for Red Bull Racing for next season is very much looking to close the gap on the top two teams who held a significant points advantage in 2019.
