Michael Schumacher's wife gives update six years on from accident
This time of year is not full of cheer and good times for everyone. The Schumacher family have been without the Michael they used to know for six years now and fans are hoping that after his wife's latest social media post that he is still recovering from the accident he had on the ski slopes back in 2013.
Corinna Schumacher has posted a message which can be interpreted in a positive way and suggests that perhaps Michael is doing well in recovery.
"Big things start with small steps. Many small stones can form a large mosaic together because together we are stronger," Corinna said on social media.
“Together you are stronger, and that is exactly how combined forces of the KeepFighting movement make it easier to encourage others.”
With the 29th of December being the anniversary of Schumacher's accident, his fan club will be wishing the seven-time world champion all the best as he continues to #KeepFighting, the name of the family foundation and hashtag that fans will use on the 29th to remember his success.
Chairman of the fan club Reiner Ferling said he is hopeful of seeing Schumacher out in public again.
“Unfortunately, the time has come again, the sixth anniversary of Michael’s accident is coming around,” Ferling said to the Mirror.
“Six years full of hope that Michael will one day go out in public again. We know that Michael is in good hands, that he gets love, security and confidence. Michael can count himself lucky to have such a strong family behind him.
“As a fan club, we will provide all kinds of support that we can provide.”
It is easy to forget that there are people suffering during this time and the Formula 1 world wishes the Schumachers all the best as they continue to look after one of the best to take to the track.
