Lewis Hamilton felt the "pressure" of Valtteri Bottas '2.0'
Lewis Hamilton went into the 2019 season weary of Valtteri Bottas and the threat that he could pose. Much was made of the 'Valtteri 2.0' and many thought that the Finn would be a genuine threat to the British world champion.
"[The] first couple of races are usually not perfect for me. They're still not bad, still better than average, but then there's all the outside pressures of 'Valtteri 2.0' and I'm thinking, 'We're 2-2 at one stage, two wins apiece'," Hamilton said to Autosport.
"I've got to stay solid in my mind, I can't allow the outside [factors to affect me]... but being human it's very hard not to notice those things."
There was much hype about the two's battle but in the end Hamilton totally dominated and proved that he deserves the praise he gets.
Bottas needs to come in with a new mindset once again if he is to topple Hamilton of his perch.
