Ross Brawn: W series helps improve the diversity within Formula 1
Ross Brawn believes the introduction of the W series has led to more interest in increasing the diversity in motorsport. In the future, he hopes men and women will be competing against each other.
Last week, it was announced that the W series will be supporting Formula 1. The last two rounds of the championship will be witnessed by Formula 1 fans in Mexico and the United States. According to the technical director, these support races help F1 achieve some objectives.
"Our sport must offer men and women the same opportunities to compete together and it is no coincidence that one of our strategic objectives is to improve the diversity of the Formula 1 grid through the support and promotion of female drivers," the Englishman tells MARCA.
