FIA conclude Ferrari investigation with agreement
The FIA have confirmed they will conclude an investigation into Ferrari's power unit from last season. Both parties have reached a settlement, however, details of the investigation will not be released.
The statement
In a statement, the FIA confirmed the news that they had reached a settlement with Ferrari. It read: "The FIA announces that it has reached a settlement with the team after a thorough technical investigation of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 power unit. The details of the agreement remain between the parties.
“The FIA and Scuderia Ferrari have entered into a number of technical commitments that will improve the supervision of all F1 engines for the coming championship seasons. Ferrari will also support the FIA with other regulatory tasks in Formula 1 and assist with research into carbon emissions and sustainable fuels."
Questions were asked
Last season several people within the world of Formula 1 voiced their concern regarding the Ferrari engine and Max Verstappen, in particular, was very most vocal. When questions were asked there were occasions when Ferrari would then be off the pace, the US Grand Prix a prime example.
