Team tyre selection for Melbourne - Mercedes go all out soft!
The tyre choices for the 2020 Australian Grand Prix have been made, with Mercedes going a step softer than their main rivals Red Bull and Ferrari. The C2, C3 and C4 tyres are in use at Albert Park as the new season gets underway, and we will find out who really has the quickest car, following the unpredictability of testing.
Last year in Australia, Mercedes dominated with Valtteri Bottas taking the lead from Lewis Hamilton at turn one and holding on for victory ahead of his teammate. Ferrari struggled and finished off the podium, with Max Verstappen claiming the final place on the rostrum.
The Silver Arrows have picked the most soft tyres out of the top three teams and McLaren, choosing ten red-walled C4s, two medium C3s and just one hard C2.
The order is in!
