German TV confirm they won't travel to Australia or Bahrain over coronavirus fears
The German TV broadcasters have confirmed they won't travel to Australia and Bahrain. In February, the same company confirmed they won't travel to Vietnam meaning they will miss the first three Grands Prix due to coronavirus fears.
They will do all work from their studio at home for the opening three races on the Formula 1 calendar.
Bahrain is taking measures
The announcement comes on the same day as the Bahrain organisation has requested a complete list of flight details from all parties who will travel to the country for the Grand Prix.
In it, all persons who went along had to indicate whether they had been in one of the high-risk countries in the past fourteen days.
The tweet below, from one of the presenters on the channel Olav Mol, tweeted the following:
Het Duitse RTL heeft besloten hun F1 crew; reporters, technici en cameramannen, niet te laten afreizen naar de eerste 3 F1 races van 2020 en gaan de uitzending doen vanuit een studio in Keulen
