Norris raises a lot of money in battle against COVID-19 and shaves his head
- GPblog.com
Lando Norris is streaming his online races these days now the season start is postponed untill at least june. He rides a sim race almost every day and the adventures he experiences in it, he shares with the world. He does this mainly because he likes it, but in these difficult times the young McLaren driver also wants to achieve something good with it.
In a recent stream he urged his viewers to donate money. He participated in the #TwitchStreamAid. The amount he raised during that stream would then be donated to a charity in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus.
To further motivate people to donate an amount of money, the 20-year-old Briton promised that he would shave his head if he raised more than 10,000 dollars in that one stream. He welll overshoot that goal, because at the end of the broadcast the counter stood at over $12,000.
It's not yet clear when exactly the hair will go off, but we will see that soon enough with Norris when he appears online again for a simrace. Maybe tonight!
Thanks to all my viewers for raising over $12,000 by the end of the night for #TwitchStreamAid and the fight against Covid-19! I do have to cut all my hair off now though... pic.twitter.com/fvCBvDArS2
