Hamilton didn't get mad at Wolff: "That's total nonsense!"

Toto Wolff suspects that it will be several months before the Formula 1 season of 2020 can start. The team boss of Mercedes certainly doesn't expect a Grands Prix until the beginning of August. As a result, a longer shutdown of the F1 factories is also in line with expectations.
"I hope we can start again in the autumn," Wolff tells Österreich. In the Austrian medium, he indicates that the Mercedes factory is currently closed. "This is now fixed for three weeks, but will probably be extended for another three weeks."
Mercedes busy with medical equipment
Although the Mercdes factory is officially closed, work is still going on at the engine factory in Brixworth. "We converted it there into a place where we develop and make special medical equipment. This ensures that people who need extra oxygen don't have to go directly to intensive care."
According to the 48-year-old Austrian, they don't sit still. "Normally it takes half a year to develop something like this, but now we've done it in a hundred hours," reveals Wolff. "We're now increasing production to ten thousand fans a week."
Wolff on his relationship with Hamilton
Wolff also goes into the rumours that Lewis Hamilton had become angry with his boss because he didn't want to drive in Australia, while Wolff thought he could. "That's total nonsense. Lewis and I have been on the phone every second in Melbourne. Even the night when the cancellation became known. We still talk to each other every day. Our relationship is better than ever. We also talk about our future every day," he denies in all tones.
