The coronavirus causes Formula 1 to come to a standstill, but that doesn't stop everyone from doing their job. Mario Isola is currently working hard as an ambulance brother in his own country.

Italy is one of the countries most severely affected by the coronavirus. According to Worldometer.info, there are more than 150 thousand infections in the boot and almost twenty thousand deaths. In America alone, more people have died from COVID-19 than in Italy.
As a volunteer ambulance brother, Pirelli's boss is in the front line. Already at the age of eighteen, Isola joined the ambulance and now that he doesn't have to do anything for Formula 1, there is time enough to take up that role again. In his role as ambulance brother, he transports many people to the hospital, especially in severely affected Lombardy.
Mental aspect
"'As ambulance brothers we sometimes have to take risks, because people can be very aggressive. It's risky and you have to take a lot of risk on the way there. My girlfriend isn't very happy about it, but you do it because you have to'', Isola says to SunSport.
''The hardest part is the mental aspect, let Isola know. You are not allowed to bring relatives of corona patients, and that is of course forbidden. However, people realize that this may be the last time they will see their loved one and that is of course very difficult'', concludes Isola.
