Herbert: 'Hamilton hopes for great battles with Verstappen'.

During the winter tests in Barcelona Mercedes was the fastest and shortly behind it was Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen didn't show the back of his tongue, so the gap between the top teams might be even smaller. We were going to see that in Australia, but that race was cancelled at the last minute and now we have to wait for the start of the season.
Benefits?
There is a good chance that there will be significantly fewer races this year than initially planned. The longer the season, the fewer weekends will remain and then there is the situation of different lockdowns and corona measures per country.
Is that an advantage for the teams, fewer races? That's what Allard Kalff asked former F1 driver Johnny Herbert and he says in a video of RTL GP: "I don't think much will change compared to what we saw during testing in Barcelona. There is not really anyone working at the moment because of the shutdown".
In other words, the situation at the start of the season will be more or less the same as in Barcelona: "When the wheels finally start turning, I think that we will see what we expected in Australia".
Great battles
"The battles will be closer. I think Red Bull is closest to Mercedes, but it will be Max Verstappen who will have to bring the fight to Lewis Hamilton". The Dutchman should now have the material at his disposal and according to Herbert Hamilton is really waiting for it, because that is the essence of the sport.
"He (Hamilton, ed.) absolutely hopes that that happens, because that's what Lewis is all about, racing. That's what Max is all about, Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel and hopefully Valtteri Bottas as well. We still have a good chance of a great season," said the former driver.
