Lando Norris was on course last night to win the virtual IndyCar race for the second time. In the Indy 175, the online version of the Indy 500, the Briton of McLaren was in first place with a couple of laps to go and everything looked like he was going to win. However, the reigning IndyCar champion Simon Pagenaud thought otherwise. He deliberately drove Norris off the track with two laps to go.

In the stream of Pagenaud it was clear to hear how the Frenchman drove into the pitlane after a crash to repair his car. He blames the accident on Norris, and is looking for revenge. By driving Norris off the track with two laps to go, the chances of a victory for the F1 driver had completely disappeared. After the race Norris decided to cool down by playing together with Max Verstappen

Verstappen also saw the crash, and had a clear opinion about it. "I'm looking at it now. This is really the stupidest thing I've ever seen", says Verstappen in the livestream of Norris. Pagenaud had already announced on his stream that he would drive Norris off the track and that remark didn't appeal to the Dutchman either. "How stupid to say live that you are going to crash someone. If you're planning something like that, you don't say it live."

The driver of Red Bull Racing himself came up with a creative solution about literally fighting this kind of discussion. "We could just put a boxing ring in the paddock. I would like to see Lando in the ring". Verstappen also looks back on the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2018, when Verstappen appealed to Esteban Ocon for his actions.
