Windsor has a great idea: ''That would make great television''

With the budget cap and new regulations from 2022, Formula 1 really wants to take a step forward in the field of entertainment. However, according to Peter Windsor it is not enough yet and the FOM could do even more.
The former team manager of Williams and Formula 1 expert has been busy with his own YouTube channel over the past seasons, in which he expresses much more of his opinion, but also many others. In this video Windsor focuses on a somewhat futuristic future, which he suggested twenty years ago.
Dreamed future in Formula 1
''My dream is a situation where drivers can no longer sign long contracts with Formula 1 teams. Teams are only allowed to use a driver for a maximum of six races per season and per race you get a kind of auction where teams can bid on the drivers. That alone would make for great television," says Windsor.
''At some point you would have Perez in a Mercedes and Stroll in a Ferrari and that would be great. Max Verstappen in a Williams along with Hamilton. However, it will never happen, because teams want to move forward with one driver and otherwise can not develop, they say, but that is nonsense. How else can drivers like Verstappen get into a car and win'', Windsor concludes his dream scenario.
