Verstappen: "Don't mind finishing second here"

Max Verstappen had a good performance in the championship of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. The Dutchman recovered very well with a second place in the main race from the disappointing last weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver is therefore satisfied with Saturday's result.
"It's a good result for the team", said Verstappen, who was keen to be sharp at the start on the virtual circuit of Barcelona. "I was pretty angry after the first race weekend. We didn't have any speed there. We worked hard and we made good steps for this race. To finish first and second is very positive".
The sim racing championship has been around for several years and it wasn't created by the coronavirus. The title race is also known as the World Championship simracing. Seventh place in the sprint race and second place in the main race is therefore a very good result for Verstappen. "I am very happy with this. The field is incredibly competitive, so that's very impressive and it's also very cool to be part of it", he says at Verstappen.nl.
Verstappen praises teammate
The 22-year old Limburger didn't think a victory was possible, as TeamRedline teammate Max Benecke could not keep up. "He was very fast, so I couldn't catch up with him. I don't mind finishing second here either. It was much more important to finish first and second here as a team", the eight times Grand Prix winner continues his story. "In general he is also a bit faster, so I don't have a problem with that. Hopefully we can have more one-two rides together during the season".
