It seems more feasible that the British Grand Prix wil have two editions in 2020. According to the BBC, an agreement between Formula 1 and Silverstone have been reached to hold two Grands Prix at the British circuit.
In the last few weeks it became clwar that the British Racings Driver's Club and Formula 1 could not agree on the fee for organizing the two seperate events. It remained a question if the British Grand Prix will show up on the revised calendar, but on Friday afternoon it was announced that a suitable fee had been agreed after a renegotiation.
Even though the agreement has been reached, it still depends on if the outbreak of the Corona virus can be contained. The British government has a plan to quarantine every international traveller for at least two weeks.
Stuart Pringle, managing director of Silverstone, told the BBC: "I am happy to confirm that Silverstone and Formula 1 have reached an agreement to organise two races without an audience this summer".
"However, these races will be subject to government approval, as our priority is the safety of all involved and strict compliance with the Covid-19 regulations".
"I want to thank all our fans for their support and assure them that we are determined to do everything in our power to get Formula 1 on track this summer".
An F1 spokesman said: "We will continue talks with Silverstone and other promoters on a revised calendar for 2020".
According to Sky Sporst, the two races will probably be scheduled on the 26th of july and the 2th of august.
