''I can imagine that we can go to the Grand Prix with a limited number of fans''

The Austrian Grand Prix should be the first Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season in 2020 and it seems a matter of time before it becomes official. However, now the question is whether fans will be allowed to be present?
For the time being, all events in sports seem to be finished without fans. For example, the German football competition started last weekend without fans and the plan is also to run F1 without fans. Still, this is not entirely certain, because Helmut Marko still sees possibilities.
Marko believes in it
''We hope to get a quick response from the ministry to our proposal without fans that we sent in on Thursday. Despite the fact that this is a proposal without fans, I see the situation around the coronavirus developing continuously, so I can also imagine that we can go to the Grand Prix with a limited number of fans," says Marko at Sport am Sonntag of ORF.
It remains to be seen whether this risk will be taken. The experiment without fans has to succeed before one can be convinced everywhere that sports can actually take place again without consequences. Only when that is completely in order, the public will be welcomed back to the Formula 1 races.
