Hamilton expects difficult Friday: ''We'll all be very rusty''

Lewis Hamilton, unlike the other F1 drivers, isn't really active in sim racing, but the Brit is doing everything he can to be ready to take victory with his team at the start of the Formula 1 season.
Confident
In a new video of Mercedes in the series 'Deep Dive' Hamilton talks about his mentality, the pressure that comes with being at the top and the self-confidence that the Mercedes driver has had since the junior classes. Now that everything has stood still for so long, however, everyone starts to doubt themselves.
Hamilton is doing everything in his own way to be ready for it once the season starts in Austria. The Brit doesn't like to be in the simulator, but he does try to encourage his team to use all means necessary to be back at the top of Formula 1.
The motivator
''I hope I'll be a better version of myself soon, otherwise I'm wasting my time. You have to want it more than anyone. I'm in good shape, but I think I can always do better. You try to work on that, because when we get into that car on Friday, we'll all be as rusty as hell,'' says Hamilton.
In the background Hamilton tries to get his team ready for the start. ''I talk a lot with my team on the phone and then I ask what we have to do to get back on top. We just have to be as prepared as possible at the start and use all the means we have to get the maximum result'', concludes Hamilton who is going for his seventh world title.
