Verstappen was driving on the track again: "Max has raced private cars"

Helmut Marko has given an update on the status of Max Verstappen. According to the Red Bull Racing advisor the Dutch driver is doing well and has even driven on the track again. In the interview Marko also discusses the situation of the dismissed Formula E driver Daniel Abt.
Verstappen is ready
"In the meantime Max is driving private cars on real race tracks", Marko talks to Österreich. The 77-year old man from Graz knows that Verstappen is completely fit for the start of the season in Austria at the beginning of July. "Max is in good physical condition and is hungry to get back to work."
Marko is happy that Verstappen has now also completed the necessary kilometres on the circuit. During the lockdown because of the coronavirus the 22 year old driver was busy sim racing a lot, but Marko is of the opinion that that doesn't come close to reality. "He's been busy with eSports. That world isn't the real one, although he's really enjoyed it."
Marko sneers at Abt
The Austrian medium does point out to Marko that sim racing did involve a certain level of competitiveness. Abbot participated in the official
Formula E competition on the simulator, but hired a professional sim driver to drive for him. "Abt is a bad example. He's not fast in eSports, but he's not fast in the real cockpit either."
