Verstappen getting into the simulator: "In the beginning I trained 6 hours a day"

Max Verstappen has had a lot of free time in recent months and like several other drivers, he has spent his time racing in simulators. He has had a good time, but Verstappen says that sitting at home for a long time started to get a bit boring.
Dull period
"Of course it was boring, but I've done a lot of races in the simulator at home", says Verstappen in a question-and-answer conversation with Sky Sports Germany, "In the end I'm really looking forward to being back in my car and I'm happy that it will start next month."
Racing in a simulator is a hobby of Verstappen and although car racing tries to imitate as realistically as possible, there is and remains a big difference. "It's completely different, because there aren't G-forces. But it's a lot of fun."
Verstappen is also quite successful in online races, but that doesn't come out of nowhere. Apart from having a talent for racing, he also had to spend a lot of time in the simulator. Verstappen: "To be fast you need time. In the first two or three weeks I trained six to eight hours a day."
Personal trainer
Speaking of training, it was obviously important to stay fit at the time of the lockdown. Don't worry about that, what the personal trainer of the Dutch driver was with him in Monaco.
"I've trained a lot in the last few weeks. Maybe more than before, because we had more time for it", and that sketches a positive starting point, because "I think my form is already better than it was then in Australia." In short, Verstappen is even fitter, which is of course beneficial when the season starts soon.
