Raikkonen expects no problems after corona: "We don't sit in the car every winter"

After months of waiting, we finally reach the light at the end of the tunnel. This week the first teams already started with a test to get the drivers and the team used to the corona protocols. But other teams, like Alfa Romeo, are not interested in doing this.
Keep training
However, Kimi Raikkonen doesn't expect any problems after he hasn't raced for a few months. "Every winter we don't get in the car for a while", he says at the presentation of the new Alfa Romeo backpack. "I've trained and stayed active by doing other sports."
His teammate Antonio Giovinazzi expects some riders to be rusty at the start of the season on the Red Bull Ring. But don't expect many problems for himself. "We'll probably all be a little rusty after not racing for such a long time."
Advantage
"I haven't raced much in 2017 and 2018 either, so I'm used to this situation myself. Hopefully I can use it to my advantage", says Giovinazzi. The Italian was mainly testing at Sauber and Haas in those seasons.
Raikkonen says he won't notice much of the fact that there will be no spectators at the races. "I think the fans would like to see some more races. Hopefully we can give them a nice show."
