The situation around Alessandro Zanardi has not improved for the time being. In an interview that the doctors gave to the epers present on Monday morning, it appears that the situation is stable, but there are still big problems visible.
''Zanardi's condition is currently still stable since he entered Santa Maria on June 19. The third night in intensive care he spent in the same conditions and all measurements remain the same for the time being. The patient is still in an artificial coma, but the expectations are positive'', is the statement that can be read at the Italian Sky Sports.
Situation Zanardi is not improving yet
Zanardi was taken to the hospital after a serious accident with his handbike and has been kept in an artificial coma ever since. The Italian who was active in Formula 1 and came back as a Paralympic handbike champion after his legs were amputated, has been in hospital in the same conditions for days now.
The team at the hospital mainly longs for patience. ''The team is working hard to treat him as well as possible," said Santa Maria alle Scotte. Zanardi will therefore be treated in intensive care for the time being.
