Formula 1 hopes to be able to clarify what the rest of the 2020 calendar will look like for the first Grand Prix of the season in Austria. Whether Canada will also be affected by the pinnacle of motorsport is a big question mark, as FOM has not yet communicated a possible date with the circuit.

The track in Montreal denies rumours that the Canades GP will take place during the weekend of 9-11 October 2020. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve states at SoyMotor.com that such information is false at the moment and that they can't talk about certain dates if they don't even know if they will be on the agenda at all.

Canada itself is open to organize a Grand Prix this fall. In the seventy year history of Formula 1 twenty times they did not travel to Canada.

For this season the semi-street circuit had made major changes to the paddock and the pitlane, but it is possible that this will not be used for the first time until 2021.
