Ocon satisfied with test day in Austria: "We got lucky"

Several F1 teams have been testing ahead of the start of the season next weekend, as has Renault. The French team chose the circuit in Austria to test and although Helmut Marko thus questioned the acceptance of the application, Renault cleverly thought this out in view of the start of the season that will take place there.
Preparing
Esteban Ocon is back in Formula 1 this year after a break of one year at Renault where he took Nico Hulkenberg's place. In conversation with the French AutoHebdo the driver says he is very satisfied with the test days at the Austrian circuit. "Everything went very well. It's nice to be able to drive again."
"We're lucky to have been able to test in Austria. Normally we don't have the opportunity to prepare for the race, or rather the upcoming races, by driving on the track that will receive them", said Ocon, who sees this move by Renault positively, because together with Ricciardo they have the track well in their system as they both drove more than 100 laps.
"We've run several qualifying simulations and several Grand Prix programs. We haven't driven this year's car, but some things can be integrated into the RS20." This shows that in addition to a preparation, it was also practically very handy to get on the track before the season starts.
