Sainz is not going to be excluded: "Withholding information not productive"

Carlos Sainz will say goodbye to McLaren after this year, but that doesn't mean that the Spaniard within the team will hear or see less in the course of the season. Zak Brown made that clear in an interview on Wednesday.
"We're racing together in 2020 and we want to have a lot of success", says Brown at Sky Sports. According to the American, it is no problem for the working relationship that six months in advance it is already clear that Sainz will leave the team for an adventure at Ferrari. "He is a professional and so are we. I think that if we are going to keep information away we really will not have a successful 2020".
McLaren thinks to have to make every effort to repeat the fourth place in last year's constructors championship. The British race scene sees very formidable competitors in Renault, Racing Point and AlphaTauri, among others. "We need to focus on 2020 and maximise this year. Withholding information is not very productive then," he says.
McLaren relies on Sainz
Brown suspects that there are few secrets anyway, since the car of 2020 will be almost completely the same as that of 2021. After all, the new regulations for Formula 1 have been postponed until 2022. "Perhaps we would have been in an uncomfortable situation if we had had a completely new car next year and had to share information about it. But next year's car will really just be this year's car", said the top man, who does not question the integrity of Sainz.
