According to Helmut Marko, Red Bull Racing is taking three major updates at once to the first Grand Prix in Austria, part of which could already be seen on Thursday. During the test at Silverstone there was a clear difference.
Red Bull Racing came into action on Thursday with the newest RB16 on the Silverstone circuit. This allowed the team to get used to the new corona measures, Alexander Albon could get used to driving an F1 car again, but the team also chose to bring a new update to the circuit.
New updates for Verstappen
The Spanish Formula 1 journalist Albert Fabrega shows on his Twitter the difference between the Red Bull's floorpan in Barcelona and that in Silverstone. It is clear to see that Red Bull Racing is opting for aggressive fins, which have much more height than their predecessors. All this should help to give Max Verstappen and Albon even more downforce.
Marko already announced on Thursday that Red Bull will bring three different updates in Austria. The updates that would otherwise have been brought in Barcelona and Austria during the regular season will now be brought in one go. It's a risk because the parts haven't been tested yet, but Marko was confident that the data was correct.
