Who wins in Austria? Hamilton and Verstappen the bookies' favourite
- GPblog.com
Formula 1 is going to start again and although no race has been held yet, there are of course already favourites to be named. Sports betting site TOTO has the following ratings for the Austrian Grand Prix.
Verstappen and Hamilton the favorites
It should be clear that prior to the Formula 1 season there are two favourites on the title: Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. For the first race in Austria, the two drivers have been given an equal ranking by the website, namely 3.00. For betting 1 euro you get 3 euro back if you get it right.
On the two top favourites there isn't a lot of profit to be made, whereas on the other favourites this is more the case. You get 6 times your bet on Charles Leclerc, 7 times your bet on Valtteri Bottas and 7,5 times your bet on Sebastian Vettel. This gives the quadruple world champion a clearly lower score than his younger teammate.
The outsiders
Alexander Albon's winnings might be worth a guess. The Thai has never been on the Formula 1 podium before, but has a great car with the Red Bull. With a rating of 25.00 a surprising victory of Albon could bring you a lot of money.
The other drivers have, how could it be otherwise, an enormous quotation. However, the problem is that outside the current top three, no team has won a race in the past seven years. So the chance that you win money if you bet on Carlos Sainz, is very small. Surprisingly, not Nicholas Latifi (1,000), but George Russell has the highest score (2,000). This is certainly surprising, since Russell has better odds than Latifi.
